Hamdard Animal Welfare Foundation (HAWF) is dedicated to the rescue, treatment, and rehabilitation of stray animals in Sohna.

Veterinary Treatment for Strays
At Hamdard Animal Welfare Foundation, we provide essential medical care to sick, injured, and suffering stray animals. Our dedicated veterinary team offers both on-site first aid and in-clinic treatment for animals rescued from the streets. From wound care and parasite control to emergency surgeries and long-term treatments, we ensure every stray receives the compassionate care they deserve. With limited resources and unlimited need, we prioritize the most critical cases and respond swiftly to rescue calls. Our mission is to reduce animal suffering and restore health with dignity.

Shelter & Rehabilitation
At Hamdard Animal Welfare Foundation, we offer a secure and nurturing shelter for stray animals who have been abandoned, injured, or are elderly. Our rehabilitation program focuses on providing medical care, nutrition, and emotional support to help these animals recover and regain their strength. We are dedicated to ensuring every animal feels safe and cared for while we work to find them loving, permanent homes where they can live happy, healthy lives.

Vaccination and sterilization drives
Hamdard Animal Welfare Foundation actively conducts vaccination and sterilization drives to protect stray animals from deadly diseases and control their population humanely. These campaigns help prevent the spread of rabies and other infections while promoting responsible animal care in the community. By reducing stray populations through ethical sterilization, we aim to create a safer and healthier environment for both animals and people.

Adoption and foster program
Our Adoption and Foster Program is dedicated to finding loving, permanent homes for stray animals while providing temporary care through foster families. We carefully match animals with compassionate adopters and support fosters with resources to ensure each pet’s health and happiness. This program helps reduce shelter overcrowding and gives animals a chance to thrive in a safe, nurturing environment.

Auto feeder installations
We install smart auto-feeders at strategic locations to ensure stray animals receive regular meals without interruption. These feeders help maintain their health and reduce the struggle for food in urban and rural areas alike
Our auto feeder program aims to provide consistent feeding support to stray animals by placing automatic feeders in high-need areas. This initiative reduces hunger, supports well-being, and complements our on-ground rescue efforts.

Pet blood bank (future goal)
Hamdard Animal Welfare Foundation aims to establish a dedicated pet blood bank as a future initiative to provide life-saving blood transfusions for animals in critical need. This project will create a reliable network of registered healthy donor pets, ensuring quick and efficient access to compatible blood during emergencies. By bridging the gap between donors and recipients, the pet blood bank will enhance veterinary care and significantly improve survival chances for injured or sick animals, strengthening the overall healthcare support system for stray and domestic pets alike.

Awareness and education drives
Hamdard Animal Welfare Foundation conducts regular awareness and education drives to inform communities about responsible pet care, the importance of sterilization, vaccination, and humane treatment of animals. These programs include workshops, school campaigns, and public outreach events aimed at fostering empathy, preventing cruelty, and encouraging active participation in animal welfare. By educating people, HAWF strives to build a compassionate society that supports the well-being and protection of all animals.
