Adopt a Pet – Change a Life, Forever

Our adoption process ensures that each pet is vaccinated, dewormed, and temperament-assessed, so they’re ready to join your family. From playful pups to gentle seniors, your perfect companion is waiting. Open your heart and home—adopt a rescued animal and experience the unconditional love only a rescue can give.

Begin your adoption journey by exploring the list of adorable, rescued animals currently looking for a loving home. You can browse our website’s “Adopt a Pet” section with real-time photos, personality descriptions, and health updates—or visit our shelter in Sohna to meet them in person. Each pet is unique, and we’ll help you find one that fits your lifestyle and preferences.

Fill Out the Adoption Form

Once you’ve found a furry friend you connect with, fill out our short adoption application. This includes your basic contact details, your living situation (rented or owned), your experience with animals, and what kind of environment you can offer. This helps us match each animal with a safe, supportive forever home.

Meet & Greet

Next, we’ll arrange a “meet and greet” either at our shelter or through a supervised visit. This step allows you and the pet to interact, giving you both the chance to build trust and comfort. It’s also a great opportunity to ask questions and understand the pet’s needs, personality, and habits.

Home Verification
(If Required)

In some cases, especially for senior pets or those with special needs, we may request a quick home check. This ensures the pet is entering a secure, pet-friendly environment. Don’t worry—it’s not an inspection, just a friendly check-in to help both sides feel confident about the match.

Adoption Approval
and Agreement

Once everything aligns, you’ll receive final approval. You’ll be asked to sign an adoption agreement outlining your responsibilities as a pet parent—such as providing food, shelter, medical care, and a loving home. It’s a simple yet important step to safeguard the animal’s well-being.

Handover & Post-
Adoption Support

Finally, your new family member will be handed over to you with their vaccination records, medical history, and care instructions. But it doesn’t end there—HAWF stays connected with adopters for continued support, advice, and follow-ups. We’re just a message away if you need guidance or face any challenges during the settling-in period.
